I've always had good service from their mail order before but recently I thought I'd try their new web-site, just clicking on the items I wanted and paying with PayPal. Sometime later nothing arrived, e-mails I sent were ignored, later I had no internet access and back trouble was keeping me at home. 2 'phone calls were made and I just got the run around. When I raised a dispute with PayPal they weren't interested as it was just over their 45 day limit. I've lost my money and have still received nothing, My advice is to avoid this web site like it was the plague, and use credit cards on-line, they give much better buyer protection.

Used to be awesome shop in the 90's after they moved to industrial estate its not even worth visiting, there is nothing for r/c car racers like there used to be, if you're into airfix kits or trains then you might be in luck for anything else avoid! shame.

I have to agree with Ruby Green. Although on my visit I didn't actually buy anything, I did receive good advice, at no expense, and plan on visiting the shop again soon. A birthday is fast approaching and I am sure I will find something to keep me occupied for a while. I think the stock on offer is a little bit biased towards the railway moddelers, but hey, lucky them. The choice of brands and kits on display, and the ability to order from the shop is I think, in this current climate, a great asset to them. Long may they continue to sell models of all types and good luck to them. The guy I spoke to was very polite and knowledgeable, something that can't be said for most 'young' shop assistants these days who generally don't give a monkey's...

Having read the previous review, I totally disagree. We have shopped in this shop for many years and have always been impressed both by the service and the goods available. Surely we should be supporting small businesses rather than slating them? This model shop is one of only a handful to survive in this country and has out shone many for years.
I was pleased with the products which includes the only stockist of Model Power trains in the country, advice and after service we were given and would recommend to anyone. How nice to have proper customer service instead of the bulk buy throw away service we recieve in many shops today. It also has a very good mail order service through it's web site and eBay.

The first time I visited this shop was about three years ago,and walked straight out again. I made a visit about a couple of months ago although it had improved a little I was still far from impressed. Not very well presented for browsing.
