I have been a customer of this shop for many years and the staff have always been really helpful and pleasant, but I have seen some of the idiots that they have to deal with and I cant understand just how stupid and thick some of them are.
The guy who runs the train and scalextric department is fantastic and has a realy good attitude towards his customers.
I will always use this shop.

I have found them very aggressive and rude when asking about things. I agree having been to Elite Models at Ashford, their attitude was just soo different, helpful and open to discuss. Not talking to you like you are a fool.
I wont buy anything further from this shop, as they are just a horrible bunch of people.

I have been to this shop many times and I have to agree that they do talk down to you and seem to be misery personified! I haven't had to take anything back, but thanks to the above poster, I will be on my guard!

I have been a user of this shop for several years now, I have been very pleased by their service, very polite attitude, advanced knowledge of the hobby and their general helpfullness, when i first wanted to get into this wonderfull hobby i chose this shop over others in my area because of reccomendations from members of a flying club local to me and from the word go they helped me out, sorted me out a plane for me to learn on and were more than happy to help me out if i had any problems (or needed any spares when i ran out of talent)... I have bought all my modelling items from them and will continue to for the rest of the time i am into this hobby, a bonus is that once i joined my local club they offer a 10% discount on everything bought from them (which really helped when it came to buying my first nitro plane, which again they were very helpfull with), I totally dissagree with all comments below regarding attitude and customer service, this is a great shop and i would reccomend this to anyone especially someone looking to get into the hobby, whether it is planes, trains, heli's or cars...

I agree with the poster below, staff are rude and talk down to you like your an idiot. Very Unhelpful and i would strongly recommend you stay away from this terrible shop.

I have recently tried to buy "gift vouchers" form this shop. The person I spoke to was to say the least miserable and just not interested, I still find it hard to believe that he could not do this over the the phone and I needed to actually be in the shop to buy them!
The fact the I would need to drive a 300 mile round trip seemed to just float by him.... my money was spent with another model company who are more than happy to oblige.

I agree with the above, I've ordered items and never got a call... I've been in on several occasions for various parts for RC cars and aircraft and the customer service is very bad... most of the staff are rude, arrogant and overly unhelpful. I'm over forty and been spoken to like an idiot on several occasions by guys half my age. I was whittling balsa before they were born! I don't know how they keep in business. It's a convenient location I suppose. Look to elite models in Ashford for an altogether better experience and they will look after you!

Just before Christmas i bought a Large helicoper from this shop, i traved from ramsgate so it was a bit of a trip but i didnt mind, chanook was my choice, i took it home and quickly checked it out, the blades had chips out of them, so i packed it up and drove to the shop, i was made to feel like a thief, i must of broke it they said, i pointed out that the battiery pack was not charged, and i was back in the shop within one hour of buying the item, (it takes a hour to drive to Ramsgate and back) i pointed out that there is a sale of goods act that they must abide by, i was told this does not include models??? i then made it quite clear i was not leaving until this matter was sorted, after a while i was offered a credit note, not willing to waste any more time with theses people i took the note and bought a diffrent model, i made them take it out and test it before i accepted it, this was a pressy but i have since got into this hobbie and i have spent a fortune building myself up, but not one penny has gone to modelworld and never will, and because im new, im joining a lot of clubs/forums and i make sure they know this woeful tale in the hope they too will no longer use them.
