I took a Hughes 300 to this shop where I bought a new battery. I know nothing about RC and told them. I couldn't get the throttle to work. I left it with them. When I phoned, the guy said he had got the gyro working (there was nothing wrong with it) I was advised that I had the wrong gears on it and it needed completely stripping down and new parts fitting. He charged me £12.50 for half hour of looking at it and told me to go away and have a go myself but if I got stuck bring it back and they would fix it. I took it to the model shop in Whitchurch and the guy there said there was nothing wrong with it, the throttle was turned right down on the TX. He had it going in about 5 minutes but he's going to trim it up fly it and sort it for £15. What a guy. The first guy knew I was ignorant and thought he would make a fast buck or he knew less than me about RC helis.
