This shop has now closed down, and is now a carpet shop! (March 2011). I did buy some railway stuff here, but essentially they were really only interested in radio control planes and boats.

When I moved to Chester I thought great, a local model shop just down the road.
I paid them a visit and the shop is well stocked and the staff friendly. Its really more of a R/C shop than a model railway shop , but still had a varied amount of railway stuff.
Some new models were due and I asked that they contact me when in stock so that I could come and purchase, this was not a problem and they took my contact details.
Never heard from them after the models release. Rang to enquire to be told they were now sold out. They had no idea why they had not contacted me! I thought ok, maybe a temp blip, we all get them. So preordered another item. Again item was released and I heard nothing. Rang again and again they had no stock left and no idea why I was not contacted.
So now even though this shop is only about 3 miles away, I deal with other shops much further away. Says it all really.

Placed an order with them for the Bachmann Pullman named Eagle, as they seemed to be the only company with stock of said item. (Wanted this specific Pullman carriage, as it is now in use on my favourite restored line - The Watercress Line).
Received a mail to say my order had been received but then heard nothing more for some time. Eventually, after mailing them with no reply, I rang the number and spoke to a very nice lady who informed me that they had not got stock of the item in question any longer and had cancelled the order. She told me that they had mailed me via the website.
I have just been to the site and there doesn't seem to be any way to access such a mailing system, and they are still advertising the item on the site despite not having stock of it. The direct contact was pretty good but the electronic part of their systems was disappointing to say the least.
Sorry E A Models but I hope that should I place future orders with you I feel the service is improved.
