Having had Grantham without a model shop for some months you soon realise just how important such an establishment is and how lost you feel without having somewhere close at hand even if you just want a tube of glue let alone a kit. Well the good news is that Grantham now has a shop again - and it is a 'good 'un!' Phil and Lewis have got together to bring back a model shop to Grantham but don't look in the town centre, instead go to Alma Park Ind Estate and you'll find A1 Hobbies located in a couple of industrial units and the good news is no parking issues - lots of free parking right outside the door. Go inside and you notice there is plenty of space with well displayed stock including a range of good quality aircraft, military and vehicle model kits at keen prices. There is also plenty of RC in the form of planes, boats and cars as well as War Hammer items. Top that lot off with a range of the all too essential spare parts, paints, glues, tools, brushes, compressors, magazines etc and the knowledge and friendliness of Phil and Lewis and you have a great model shop that I will certainly be supporting and is well worth a visit even if you are not living close to Grantham.
